ICAR-Indian Institute of Rice Research : Cancer Screening Camp on 25.01.2023
ICAR-Indian Institute of Rice Research in collaboration with Rotary club Krishi Rajendranagar and Rotary Club of Global Wizards with the help of MNJ Cancer Hospital, Hyderabad has conducted a Cancer Screening camp for the women employees of the Institute. Director Dr. RM Sundaram has inaugurated the camp in the presence of President of Rotary Club and other dignitaries; and immensely thank Director, and medical staff of the MNJ Cancer Hospital involved in the camp. The camp aimed to detect early symptoms of cancer among the target groups for breast cancer, cervical cancer, oral cancer and other abdominal cancers. The target beneficiaries were tested with oral examination, abdominal sonogram +mammogram, digital mammogram in women group having 50 Plus age and suspicious cases. There were about 105 beneficiaries including scientists, administrative, technical and skilled supporting staff with more belonging to farm women category. RC Krishi immensely thank the medical, Paramedical staff and Directror of MNJ Cancer Hospital. A total of 105 women employees had undergone the screening in which 85 for oral screening, 26 for digital mammogram, 66 for sono-mammogram, 64 for Pap smear and of which only 2 cases for FAMC.
